Expert home cook Judy Walker began The Secret Ingredient in 2011."I have many years of cooking experience, have attended courses at the famous Betty’s Cookery School in Harrogate and the prestigious Ashburton Cookery School in Devon, I am a fully trained AGA-authorised demonstrator, was a judge at the 2013 Great Taste awards and hold the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Award in Food Safety in Catering Level 2. Together with my colleague, Christine Pike, another experienced home cook, I run regular cookery demonstrations with lunch at my home in Hexham, Northumberland. We also demonstrated at the 2013 Living North Christmas Fair in Newcastle.
